While Toy Story 4 gears up for its big screen debut on Friday, Pixar announced it’s working on a new project titled, Soul.
Revealed early Wednesday morning, the animation film studio also shared the movie is scheduled to hit theaters on June 19, 2020. “One year from today, Pixar Animation Studios will take you on a journey from the streets of New York City to the cosmic realms to discover the answers to life’s most important questions,” Pixar posted on Twitter and Instagram.
Soul is directed by Pete Docter, who was behind the studio hits Up and Inside Out, and is produced by Academy Award nominee Dana Murray. So far no other details have been shared, but make sure to keep it locked here for when they surface.
In late May, the studio also released the first trailer for Onward which stars Chris Pratt and Tom Holland as two teenage elves. Onward drops a few months before Soul on March 6, 2020.
Also scheduled for 2020 is the newly announced The King’s Man, a Kingsman prequel, which is set for Valentine’s Day.
