KAPITAL's FW19 Lookbook Showcases Custom Masks & Highly Deconstructed Garments
From long military parkas to collegiate varsity jackets.

Rolling off the wave of KAPITAL‘s recent New York residency event at 180 the Store, the Japanese label has returned with its expansive Fall/Winter 2019 collection.
The latest FW19 collection is comprised of colorful garment-dyed paisleys, skeleton prints, patchwork fabrics, peace signs, tie-dyes and a slew of other patterns. Ranging all the way from long military parkas to collegiate varsity jackets, the lineup is rich in Americana influences infused with Japanese workmanship.
Leading the range are bandana-tinged sweaters, reworked denim, floral-patterned fleece jackets and woolen plaid trousers. One standout piece is a down vest, put together with interlocking weaves of padded down – the vest is clad in paisley prints that extend all the way up to its standup collar. Another highlight is the multi-paneled military jacket. The coat sees a large hood attached to a body that’s half heavy-duty drab and half quilted nylon. Details like four front pockets, drawstrings at the waist and detailed inner lining complete the deconstructed jacket. Other garments like the knit sweaters, tie-dyed cardigans and quilted long coats round out the extensive assemblage.
The KAPITAL Fall/Winter 2019 collection is expected to release soon on kapital.com.
In other related news, FACETASM’s SS20 “together” collection is an expression of unfinished completion.
