size? & New Balance Unveil Corner Shop-Inspired 990v5
Referencing the colors of ’80s packaging.
size? has announced a worldwide exclusive release for the latest colorway of New Balance‘s updated 990v5 silhouette. A long way away from the understated colorways to release so far — including black and the OG grey — the new release sees the sneaker wrapped in a cold blue, yellow and pink colorway.
This colorway takes its inspiration from 1980s-style vibrant packaging that was commonplace in every corner shop and convenience store in Britain. These colors are referenced through the “Royal Blue” suede panels that cover the sneaker, as well as the yellow mesh and pink perforated nubuck. The sneaker is then finished with reflective touches on the toe, heel counter and classic “N” branding.
size? is one of few retailers to release their own 990v5 designs over the course of this year, and the brightly colored sneaker’s release is extremely limited to just 500 pairs.
