Original Story (June 26, 2019): Netflix is building up its anime arsenal, seeing as the streaming giant has just premiered Neon Genesis Evangelion and is gearing up for the release of 7 Seeds and the second season of Ultraman.
Set to join next month is Kengan Ashura, the anime adaptation of Yabako Sandrovich’s famed manga. Kengan Ashura originally had its world premiere at Anime Expo in July 2018 and won a fan voting contest in 2015 to receive the adaptation.
In the manga’s story, businesses and merchants wager large sums of money to hire combatants for unarmed hand-to-hand fighting matches. Used as a way to resolve disputes with each other, once Tokita Ohma, nicknamed “Ashura,” joins in, he is able to crush his enemies and catches the attention of the big bosses.
