Original Story (March 22, 2019): Netflix is gearing up for a fruitful April filled with a majority of original content. Set to make its debut next month is an anime adaptation of Yumi Tamura’s adventure mystery manga 7 Seeds.
The project was originally announced back in November of last year, and today the streaming giant has shared a teaser, giving fans a first-hand look at the anticipated animated series.
The official synopsis reads:
“In the immediate future, a giant meteorite has collided with earth. All living organisms, including mankind, have been wiped off the face of the planet. The government, who had foreseen this outcome, took measures to counter the worst-case scenario. In particular was Project “7SEEDS,” in which five sets of seven young men and women were carefully selected and placed into teams (Spring, Summer A, Summer B, Autumn and Winter). Each participant was then put under cryogenic sleep in hopes of preserving the continued existence of mankind.”
Directed by Yukio Takahashi, 7 Seeds will debut exclusively on Netflix this April. For more, check out everything that’s coming to and leaving Netflix in April.
