Chicago’s Jean Deaux has released her sophomore EP, Empathy. The multifaceted artist takes listeners on a journey through a dreamy soundscape, enlisting the likes of DUCKWRTH and Kehlani to assist her on this sonic trip. Her creative abilities shine through the record’s diverse sound as she incorporates various trap-laden beats, melodies of multiple synth layers and live instrumentation to her own vocals. Empathy is the first of two EPs the songstress is scheduled to release this year, following her acclaimed 2018 project Krash.
