GUESS JEANS Announces Capsule Collection With VERDY's Wasted Youth
A limited collection where American denim heritage meets skate culture—special exhibition also launching at GUESS JEANS Tokyo.
GUESS JEANS has announced a capsule collection with Wasted Youth, a project by graphic artist VERDY. It will go on sale at select stores in Japan and abroad starting Saturday, October 24.
This collaboration was born from the relationship Nicolai Marciano, who leads GUESS JEANS, and VERDY have cultivated over many years while based in Los Angeles and Japan. In the past, they held an event inviting skaters at Henry’s PIZZA in Osaka, and in 2025 VERDY was appointed as a creative partner for GUESS JEANS. Furthermore, the two have continuously deepened their exchange through pop-ups at the Tokyo flagship store, GUESS JEANS Tokyo. Set against a backdrop of shared values regarding skate culture and free self-expression, their collaborative relationship has culminated in a capsule collection through the lens of Wasted Youth.
This capsule blends the American denim heritage and archival graphics inherited by GUESS JEANS with the unique aesthetics of Wasted Youth, rooted in punk and skate culture. The collection consists of four styles incorporating the signatures of both brands throughout. It features a striped T-shirt (10,450 yen) inspired by GUESS’s iconic stripe pattern, as well as a graphic T-shirt (9,350 yen) combining flowers with the tulip can graphic that symbolizes Wasted Youth. In addition to loose-fit washed black denim (22,000 yen) that reconstructs the GUESS eagle motif into a Wasted Youth-style patch, a two-pack of boxer briefs (6,050 yen) decorated with the signature fluorescent green color on the waistband is also in the lineup.
The GUESS JEANS x Wasted Youth capsule collection will go on sale starting Saturday, October 24, at GUESS JEANS flagship stores (Los Angeles, Tokyo, Berlin, Amsterdam), as well as RAGGAWS and BLACKDOTS in Japan, and TUNE in South Korea. At GUESS JEANS Tokyo, a pop-up commemorating the collaboration will be held starting the same day. In addition to selling this collection, a limited number of denim tote bags that can be laser-processed with a logo design will also be sold. A special exhibition will also be held in the shop’s underground space, 81 Below. It will run from Saturday, October 24 to Sunday, November 1.
