Steve Lacy Gets Intimate in “Outro Freestyle” Video Featuring Abra
‘Apollo XXI’ drops this week.
With Apollo XXI out at the end of the week, Steve Lacy drops the video for one half of closing track “Outro Freestyle/4ever.” He previously released the single “N Side” in early April.
“Outro Freestyle” is a woozy interlude, which finds Steve Lacy and Abra sensually making out in the accompanying music video, while Lacy sings, “Rolex on my wristwatch/ Bitch, I’m Chris Rock/ All these niggas always hatin’ me/ But they binge-watch/ I should have a show on Netflix/ That their friends watch.” The Director of Photography for the video is Alexis Zabe. Apollo XXI is out May 24 via 3QTR. In related news, the 20-year-old Internet guitarist has worked extensively on Vampire Weekend’s Father Of The Bride album.
