According to reports, a movie based on Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is currently in development by Lucasfilm.

Affectionately labeled KOTOR by fans, the 2003 role-playing video game has long stood as a fan favorite thanks to its open world design and immersive storytelling experience. Set nearly 4,000 years before the events of Star Wars: A New Hope, the game offered a previously unventured exploration of the conflict between the Jedi and the Sith. Set to be written by Laeta Kalogridis of Avatar and Shutter Island fame, sources are noting that the film could kick off a potential trilogy centered around the Knights of the Old Republic.

Stay tuned for more details as the story develops.

In case you missed it, Sony Pictures recently unveiled new Spider-Man: Far From Home posters.
