Last week, The North Face reworked a range of classic outerwear silhouettes for a special iridescent capsule collection. Now, the iconic brand is back with a new addition to its Black Series lineup. Specifically, The North Face is unveiling another run of Black Series goods for the Spring/Summer 2019 landscape, serving up a new drop known as the “Airflow” collection.
One of four unique collections that makes up Black Series Spring/Summer 2019 line, the Airflow capsule was created to bring a contemporary “street-styled” aesthetic to the world of forward-thinking, technologically-advanced fashion. The Airflow pieces were crafted using “breathable, moisture-wicking fabrics that have UV protection and anti-microbial properties,” and are billed as both durable and lightweight with “four-way mechanical stretch.” For this new range’s colorways, The North Face’s designers have employed vintage white, tin grey, black and vibrant green tones, although a monochromatic approach remains at the core of these designs.
“As the premium expression of lifestyle for The North Face, Black Series is a collection that reimagines our performance and heritage silhouettes to explore bold styling, innovative materials and versatile features,” Tim Bantle, The North Face’s Global General Manager of Lifestyle, shares via an official press statement. “We are continually looking to push the boundaries of innovation and design so that people can push their own limits whether they are in the mountains or exploring the city.”
