Kazuki Kuraishi and The North Face Urban Exploration‘s Black Series collaboration last year was a subtly aesthetic and functional collection, and this year, TNF has again employed the help of the Japanese designer and graphic artist to unveil the upcoming “Kazuki Collection” for Spring 2019.
The collection features 14 pieces spread over two drops in March and April and continues Kazuki’s direction of functionality, modern streetwear and minimalistic aesthetic. One of the notable pieces is Kazuki‘s reinterpretation of TNF’s signature Mountain Light Jacket, re-envisioned into a Gore-Tex Light Coat in an “urban navy” and “four leaf” color. Offerings from The North Face Urban Exploration x Kazuki Kuraishi collaboration include hoodies, an anorak jacket, long-sleeve tees, pants, a bomber jacket and more. The collection is centered around re-envisioned functional outdoor wear turned into street-ready garb. Other notable pieces include a DryVentä light anorak jacket and a WindWallä long-sleeve shirt.
Priced between $590 HKD (approx. $75 USD) and $4990 HKD (approx. $635 USD) the collection will release in two stages — the first on March 11 and the second release on April 8 via The North Face‘s Urban Exploration stores in Asia, Europe, and the Williamsburg’s Prototype store, along with other select retailers.
