Keiichi Tanaami Brings Signature Style to adidas Originals Capsule

After working together on a Tokyo exhibition recently, iconic Japan-based pop artist Keiichi Tanaami and adidas Originals have unveiled a full collaborative collection. The 10-piece apparel capsule is built around Tanaami’s signature iconography and style, which sits alongside adidas Originals branding and Three Stripes detailing.

The collection is inspired by a range of new Tanaami works which have been exclusively commissioned by adidas Originals. A stand-out piece in the collection is the return of the firebird tracksuit, which is adorned with a number of Tanaami graphics. Elsewhere, the collection includes two hoodies, two short sleeve tees, sweatpants, swim shorts, a long sleeve T-shirt and a rugby shirt.

The collaboration with Keiichi Tanaami is the first installment of adidas Originals’ new “Gallery Series” initiative, which is set to see the brand collaborate with other artists and galleries across the world. This collection is set to release globally on March 21, and will be available from the adidas web store.
