BRIT Award winner Jorja Smith joined Loyle Carner on his latest track “Loose Ends.” The single follows the rapper’s “You Don’t Know” with Rebel Kleff and Kiko Bun from January, and “Ottolenghi” with Jordan Rakei from October 2018.
Dominated by Carner’s idiosyncratically melodic flow, Smith adds another layer of honeyed vocals to match the rapper’s collected composure. Using a simple formula of live instruments and repeating riffs, the two create a track reflecting on the success that has followed them in recent years. Wishfully thinking that the support they’re receiving now was there from the very beginning.
