UNDERCOVER Celebrates 'Suspiria' in FW19 Womenswear Collection
Complete with oversized Tilda Swinton imagery.
After referencing A Clockwork Orange with its Fall/Winter 2019 menswear collection, UNDERCOVER is continuing the cinematic influence for its Fall/Winter 2019 womenswear collection. Titled Suspirium — a reference to Suspiria, a film originally released in 1977 before being remade in 2018 — the collection’s campaign has been officially debuted on the Jun Takahashi-helmed brand’s Instagram.
The campaign images have been released alongside a “special thanks” to Luca Guadagnino, who directed the 2018 remake. The reference is also clear in the collection’s imagery, some of which features stills from the film, a repeated print of the film poster’s typeface and even an image of actress Tilda Swinton, who appears in the movie.
