Nike's "Earth Day Pack" Sees Environmentally-Friendly Illustrations by Steve Harrington.
Including the AF1, Cortez and Blazer Low.
Nike addresses the growing concerns on the sustainability of fashion with a new collection called the ”Sustainability Collection.” This collection sees a very colorful “Earth Day” pack in which the Nike Air Force 1, Cortez, and Blazer Low are all crafted in Nike’s innovative Flyleather material. Nike’s special Flyleather material is a 50% leather-fiber material that is both lighter and more durable than traditional hide.
Each pair features the thematic graphics of an anthropomorphic Earth, with the planet either being hugged, carried, or “warming” due to exercise. Those who are interested in contemporary art will be delighted to learn that the artwork is collaboration with Steve Harrington.
Details in the collection include hits of aqua, teal, and blue, Swooshes and palm trees done in Harrington’s signature style, and a co-branded tongue tag. Look for this pack to drop closer to Earth Day, April 22, at select Nike stockists and on nike.com.
