Earlier this week, New Balance introduced a Made In USA 997 with a camo midsole. For a new collaborative effort, the longtime brand is teaming up with German sneaker outfit 43einhalb for a jointly-designed sneaker that artfully commemorates 30 years of the famed 1500 silhouette.
Specifically, New Balance and 43einhalb’s M150043EH “THE TRIP” collaboration utilizes colors that emulate the various unique looks of the most striking natural British landscapes; the cliffs of Dover, the deep teal tones of the English channel and the region’s grey drystone walls were all looked to for inspiration. The design of New Balance and 43einhalb’s joint offering was created during a trip that the latter brand’s operators took to New Balance’s Made In England factory for the 1500’s 30th anniversary. During that visit, New Balance gave 43einhalb’s designers the opportunity to make their own 1500, and this multi-toned shoe became the end result.

Limited to only six pairs, the aforementioned pairing’s collaborative spin on the 1500 is only available for pick-up through a special online raffle, which allows winners the opportunity to win two separate pairs. 43einhalb will also be raffling one of the 1500’s six pairs at a special photo exhibition in Frankfurt, Germany on March 29. Last month, New Balance also unveiled a 3oth anniversary pack for the 1500 silhouette.
