New Balance Celebrates 30 Years of the 1500 With Anniversary Pack
The 1989 classic gets a 2019 “Made In England” update.
New Balance celebrates 30 years of its iconic 1500 silhouette with an exclusive “Anniversary Pack” drop, releasing a homage to a classic “Made In England” NB1500 and an all-new NB1530.
The pack sees a 1500 featuring a heritage New Balance palette of blues and vintage grey, The all-new 1530 provides all of the standard premium leather, suede and mesh layers with a mixture of white, cream and blues, sitting atop a new sole unit and featuring a number of aesthetic tweaks.
The 1530 updates the 1500 with a RevLite sole, making the shoe 30% lighter than its predecessor, and features redesigned side panels with a two-part mudguard that sits higher up the foot than before. The 1530 offers more overlays and depths to the classic silhouette while following the timeless design of the 1500, seen in the toe box, rear panel and heel tab.
The New Balance 1500/1530 “Anniversary Pack” releases on March 2 at New Balance and select retailers such as 43einhalb for €180 EUR (approx. $205 USD) each.
