With Us set to release this Friday, director extraordinaire Jordan Peele took the time out of his busy schedule to sit down with The Wall Street Journal to share with fans his list of must-watch horror films.

In the three-and-a-half-minute interview posted above, Peele drops his all-time favorites from the genre including the best B horror movie, most frightening villian, the first horror film he watched, and much more. As an added bonus, he even dropped his villain dream team which is comprised of Freddie Krueger, the Candyman, a silver ball from Phantasm, Chucky from the Child’s Play franchise, and the Graboid sandworm from Tremors.

On watching his first horror film The Fly Peele shares, “So scary, so inappropriate for how old I was, and yet I was able to watch it and understand it, and at the end of it, I felt less scared than I did before watching it, so that’s how I knew the power of horror.”

Us releases March 22 and stars Lupita Nyong’o and Winston Duke from Black Panther and Elizabeth Moss from The Handmaid’s Tale. As a lead-up, Peele assured fans “Us is a horror film.”
