New Air Jordan 1 Gets Wrapped in Ballistic Mesh
Subtle and sleek with a splash of color.

Jordan Brand is getting tactical with the release of its new Air Jordan 1 colorway. Covering the entire uppers, from the toe box through the tongue and heel counter, and even its Swoosh logo, is a highly-textural ballistic mesh in deep navy. Due to the nature of the material, a shimmering scale pattern with contrasting shades and tones can be seen when looked at up close. Logos as well as the laces and midsole all match in color — creating a stealthy, sleek sneaker. As a finishing touch, the design is complimented with a streak of red on its outsole, a throwback to its “Bred” heritage. Notably more subtle than its other colorways, this Jordan 1 marks a refreshing take on the series.
There’s no exact release date or price at the moment, but the new Air Jordan 1 will be hitting various retailers and the nike.com store in the coming months.
Enthusiasts of the Jordan Brand will also love to learn that it has unveiled a “Pale Vanilla” colorway for its Jordan Legacy 312 Low.
