Supreme has been at its NYC location for 25 years now, and the Manhattan location is seeing its first major renovation. With that, the New York brand will see a temporary location for the season opener.
The new location, 190 Bowery, is actually a legendary locale for New Yorkers. The space was originally occupied by Germania Bank in 1898, with high-level features like impenetrable vaults and copper cage elevators. Most recently, the destination has been home to multi-brand boutique Totokaelo, now relocated to 61 Crosby. The Bowery location neighbors other NYC staples like The New Museum, while the iconic Bowery Ballroom is only a stones throw away as well.
“While we renovate our Lafayette St. store, we are temporarily moving to 190 Bowery. 02/21/2019,” reads a statement posted to Supreme’s Instagram. The aforementioned quote is also attached to a couple shots of the interior and exterior of a Supreme store in New York City. While the new store is vast, no further word or imagery of the renovating 274 Lafayette is available, nor information on how 190 Bowery will house the brand.
Supreme will open its new doors on February 21 and begin selling its Spring/Summer 2019 collection, previewed this week. View the items below:
