T-Pain Recruits O.T. Genasis for New '1Up' Single "A Million Times"
The legendary singer has a new LP on the way.
Following last month’s “Getcha Roll On” video with Tory Lanez, T-Pain joins forces with O.T. Genasis for a new collaboration titled “A Million Times.” Released as a single in support of T-Pain’s next album 1Up, “A Million Times” receives its debut as Zane Lowe’s World Record premiere on Beats 1.
“I pretty much made the record and I mean literally everybody that came through the studio was like, ‘Dude, you’ve gotta put O.T. Genasis on this record.’ It just sounded, to me it was real future bass-y, so you know, I was cool with it. But then when people were saying that sounds super West Coast, I was like, oh, well O.T. For sure, no question,” T-Pain shares with Ebro Darden, explaining the origins of the song. “We started that video the other day, actually and boy, he was crip walking real hard, that whole time. Yeah, he made it happen though, man. I appreciate him for coming through and he did his thing on the record.”
“Oh, I like them tattoos on your leg / I wonder how they look up by my head / I’ma lay you down on this bed / Show you Florida n***as ain’t scared,” T-Pain croons. “I’ma take your problems away / And tell me what your friends got to say / Tell ’em to be careful how they play / ‘Cause they gon’ f*ck around and get it one day.”
