Blueface Charged With Felony Count of Carrying Loaded Handgun
He could face up to three years in prison.

Los Angeles rapper Blueface, born Johnathan Porter, has been charged with one felony count of carrying a loaded handgun without registration, reports The Blast and Pitchfork. The charge is from his Feb. 1 arrest when police officers were called to a downtown L.A. area where Blueface and his crew were hanging at. When the Cash Money West rapper and his entourage spotted the authorities, they reportedly threw away their guns and tried to run away from the scene. That’s when police arrested them.
According to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department records, viewed by Pitchfork, Blueface was released on $35,000 bail following the arrest. His next court date is Wednesday, February 27. Blue’s manager, Wack 100, has asserted that the 22-year-old rapper is innocent, proclaiming that Porter never had a gun when cops busted his crew last week and that there should be plenty of surveillance footage to prove it.
Blueface’s breakout single “Thotiana” is currently No. 20 on the Billboard 100 and sparked a slew of remixes from Cardi B, YG, Nicki Minaj and more. He is scheduled to go on a U.S. tour with Lil Baby and City Girls next month.
