Reebok Classics Enlists Rejjie Snow, Childish Major and More to "Alter the Icons" for SS19
And presents modernized takes on two of its signature sneakers.

Earlier this month, Reebok presented various new footwear iterations including collaborations with Vetements, Adsum and NEPENTHES to name a few. Back to unveil its SS19 Classics campaign, the athletic brand has now enlisted the help of artists and influencers to showcase updated renditions of some its signature styles.
In order to reach many facets of culture spanning across fashion, music, design and art, Reebok Classics tapped a number of different creators to star in its ongoing “Alter the Icons” (ATI) series, including producer Childish Major, rapper J.I.D., artist Rejjie Snow, model and stylist Juno Song, singer Tayla Parx and 13-year-old twin DJs Amira and Kayla. Each individual in the ATI group makes a cameo in the campaign film, sharing a snippet of their unique stories while clad in the collection’s apparel and footwear.
Along with joggers and sweatshirts, the assortment features modernized versions of the Classic Leather and Workout Plus silhouettes, which have been splashed in a ’90s-inspired color palette. A vibrant pink, blue, green and gray Workout Plus makes up one of the brightest choices in the range, while white and cream-based versions offer neutral options. The leather, suede and mesh upper of the sneaker gives off a layered aesthetic. The Classic Leather receives a similar approach for its range of hues, while the Aztrek-inspired design lends a sleeker shape than its sturdier counterpart. A lightweight EVA midsole rounds out the details.
Ranging from $85 USD – $90 USD, the collection is available to shop now on Reebok.com and in-store and online at FootLocker.com. See the shoes in action by scrolling below to watch the full “Alter the Icons” clip, directed by Jesse Heath and creatively supervised by Andre Bato.
