Dima Leu Continues Merging Suits and Sportswear for FW19

The next evolution of his beloved “Sport Suit.”

Dima Leu kicked his brand off in 2015 as a means of exploring the “Sport Suit,” a concept Leu envisioned that blends the ease of sportswear with classic menswear tailoring. What results is a series of boxy neutral-toned sweat suits with colorful 3D stripes, expanded for Fall/Winter 2019 into patterned suiting, sophisticated outerwear and lounge essentials like hoodies and sweaters.

Premium fabrics inform the louche looks, which range from matching plaid sets to flowing red coats, with garments specifically designed to be mixed-and-matched. Color-blocked scarves and shirts encourage color clashes, with textured textiles adding more depth to the layered stripes.

Both functionality and formality informs each item, yielding insouciant tees, crisp white shirts and trim trousers, with playful appliqué that undercuts the seriousness of the versatile hues. Menswear staples also receive slight revamps, including double riders and double-breasted jackets that sport contrasting zipper plackets, pleated insets and buttoned vents.

Expect the range to hit stockists like H.Lorenzo later this year.
