Pleasures Gives Classic Dr. Martens Silhouettes a Punk Rock Twist
Delivering a grunge-tinged capsule collection.
Fusing punk-rock, grunge and streetwear, LA-based label Pleasures collaborates with Dr. Martens on a capsule collection celebrating the two rebellious brands’ approaches to footwear and apparel.
Comprised of a T-shirt, socks, and two pairs of signature shoes (a Quad Retro sole and a 1461), the collection combines co-branding with grunge motifs and a Dr. Martens colorway of black, yellow and white. The 1461 silhouette receives an open-jawed white teeth motif and “NOW” printed on the heel, whereas the Quad Retro features tribal graphics inspired by late ’90s industrial, anti-establishment music, studs and checkerboard laces.
The collaborative shoes come in a lurid green co-branded box, matching the minute detailing on the Quad Sole silhouette. Socks featuring the phrase “today is the first day of your new life” in orange and a T-shirt featuring the teeth motif will both be exclusively available online.
The punk-enthused collection will be available via Dr. Martens’ website on February 23, 2019.
