Jaden Smith Joins Harry Hudson's Contemplative "Just Slide" MV
A new project from the IRL friends.
Real life friends Jaden Smith and Harry Hudson have linked up for the latter’s newly released music video for “Just Slide.”
Incorporating the same cotton candy-colored skies that frequently occur in many of Smith’s own vids, the clip posted above sees the duo contemplating and shedding tears over lost loves as they aimlessly wander around a deserted piece of land. “Just Slide” references the common term “slide into the DMs,” hinting that their love interests should also return their admiration. “If you ever need a friend, we can make it intimate/ Girl, I know you got a man, but we only talkin’/ Love when you vent to me, I’ll be honest/ Hate saying bye to you, it’s the hardest/ Oh she’s a goddess, one day they’ll tell our story, I promise,” Smith raps on the third verse.
Coming in just shy of three-minutes, various locations were shot to achieve the final project including Biloxi, Toronto, Salt Lake City, and Calabasas, Smith’s hometown.
Both Smith and Hudson previously worked together on the tracks “E,” “Ninety (Electric),” and “Fallen” along with the 2018 short film, Can Cowboys Cry.
