Teaser Clip of New Drake Track Has Surfaced
Is his sixth album on the horizon?
Earlier this month, Drake decided to celebrate the ten-year anniversary of his seminal 2009 studio project So Far Gone by placing the LP on all streaming platforms. “I will never forget anybody involved in this journey,” Drake stated on Instagram, taking to social media to reflect on his third mixtape and share his respect for the tape’s collaborators. Now, we’re receiving a preview of what’s to come from the next chapter in Drake’s storied career.
As HNHH notes, fan footage of new, previously-unreleased Drake music being played at a birthday party has surfaced. The clip was recorded at an OVO-hosted event and provides listeners with a snippet of an R&B-leaning record from the 32-year-old Canadian superstar. A handful of Twitter users who were at the birthday celebration, such as @DPtheKid, also tweeted about the aforementioned music’s debut. While details concerning the track’s specifics are still unavailable, some have speculated that the recently-revealed sounds are part of Drake’s next official studio album.

Drake’s last major full-length release was June 2018’s Scorpion LP, which stands as his fifth studio album. Scorpion yielded a great deal of commercial and critical success for its creator, including a Best Rap Song Grammy award for “God’s Plan” and some record-breaking streaming figures.
