OMB Peezy Gets Reflective in New Single & Video "Tree Top"
The latest from the Southern hip-hop upstart.
OMB Peezy has been causing a ruckus in the South’s hip-hop scene. Originating from Mobile, Alabama, the rap upstart has blown up across the region, making connections with Bay-based E-40 and more — both recently sat down to speak with HYPEBEAST on hip-hop mentorships. Earlier this year Peezy brought forth a promising alignment of tracks in his sophomore album Preacher to the Streets, now returning with a brand new single and video titled “Tree Top.”
Tapping his usual monologue style that reiterates his turbulent come-up, Peezy continues to exert his characteristic delivery over an eclectic arrangement of silky-smooth guitar strings and West Coast-tinged baselines. The video sees him vibing out, with various glitchy edits showcasing the rapper as a back tattoo and more.
