Lizzo Celebrates Homecoming at Southern University for "Good As Hell" Visual
Featuring the school’s marching band, drumline, and dance team.
Lizzo has finally shared the music video for her 2016 sleeper hit, “Good As Hell.” Filmed during Homecoming Week at Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the feel-good visual highlights female members of the historically black university’s marching band, drumline, and dance team rising above personal problems they’re experiencing as they prep for the big school event. The singer can be seen sporting the uniforms herself along with an appearance by her iconic flute.
“Good As Hell” was originally released in 2016 and served as the lead single for Lizzo’s Coconut Oil EP. The track didn’t gain success during the initial release period, however, thanks to the singer’s popularity from “Truth Hurts,” it eventually peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100.
