New Trailer for Netflix's 'The Witcher' Shows off Magic and Large Scale Battles
Geralt and Yennefer must join forces to protect a young girl from the Nilfgaard empire.
In the latest trailer for Netflix‘s upcoming fantasy series The Witcher, fans finally get a look at the title characters in action. In the final teaser for the upcoming series, which debuts later this month, Henry Cavill‘s Geralt of Rivia and Anya Chalotra’s Yennefer the sorceress come together to battle hordes of soldiers and monsters in order to protect a young girl who may be the key to saving or destroying everyone.
The footage in the video showcases a great war being waged by a prosperous country named Nilfgaard, which was built upon riches won by pillaging other countries. As the North faces an uphill struggle, a young girl enters the situation named Ciri (Freya Allan), a princess with magical abilities that may change the course of the world. Geralt and Yennefer now must join forces to protect Ciri from Nilfgaard and others that could threaten her safety —- first, however, they’ve got to find her. In the video below, we are introduced to the world of The Witcher, as well as several of the characters that make up the show.
