As a pioneer of creating luxury garments with activewear undertones, the Prada Linea Rossa FW19 collection continues to make strides in innovative fabrication. The intently crafted selection reflects the continuous influence of modern living and a more environmentally conscious society on style, which comes through in technical elements and sustainable details. Altogether, the collection serves as a testament to the Milan fashion house’s commitment to form and function within the diffusion.

Boldly implemented throughout the collection, the label’s signature red line establishes a unifying element across the assemblage of outerwear and accessories. Practical elements, like Thermal-Welded seams, serve as both a constructive practice and a design choice for streamlined appeal. Similarly, the forgoing of stitching in the garments, accessories and Polarius sneakers provides the wearer with impermeability from the elements while catering to the fluid movements of a fast-paced lifestyle.

A similar forward-thinking mindset was applied to fabric choices. Structure and comfort are elevated by graphene and recycled polyester padding, Goretex Pro water-repellent microfiber, impermeable Tela Tecnica Pro’ and conductive and reactive fabrics that aid the body’s thermal regulatory processes. Knitwear, constructed using a seamless three-dimensional techno-knit treatment and PH balanced fabric, touts durability and anti-odor properties without skimping on style. Rounding out the collection, technical jersey is recycled from plastic bottles recovered from sea and land-fills. Effectively, CO2 emissions are reduced by 75%, further emphasizing Prada Linea Rossa’s acumen in creating clothing that is not just style-forward, but at the forefront of technical innovation.
