Pop Trading Company Reworks the Karhu Trampas in "Grunge" & "Shocking Pink"
Adding a skate influence to the 1960s training sneaker.
Amsterdam-based skate label Pop Trading Company has followed up its Carhartt WIP capsule with a collaboration with Finnish sneaker label Karhu. The new capsule features two takes on the Trampas silhouette, which was introduced in the 1960s as a training sneaker due to its support and padding in the heel collar for Achilles protection.
Pop Trading Company has constructed the sneaker from premium suede, complete with a leather lining and co-branded insole. The Trampas will release in two colorways — either “Grunge” or “Shocking Pink” and comes with detailing including embroidered Pop branding and reflective touches on the heel and tongue.
Alongside the sneaker, Pop Trading Company and Karhu will be releasing a collaborative T-shirt. The Pop Trading Company x Karhu capsule will release on December 14, with only 60 of each colorway releasing. The collaboration will be available from Pop’s Amsterdam store, Karhu’s flagship in Helsinki, Karhu’s online store, and the Pop Trading Company web store.
