After hosting its New York Pop-Up, HAVEN is back, this time with the release of a set of meticulously crafted outerwear for FW19. Featured garments include the Artillery Parka and Ballistic Vest, which both come with a sleek black outer shell packed with breathable down insulation to fend against harsh winter climates.
First up is the mid-length Artillery Parka. The piece has been equipped with water and wind-resistant coating called Komatsu: a soft, sculptural textile processed at a local Japanese knitting mill that molds to the shape of the wearer’s body over time. Coming with 700 fill down insulation, the piece offers warmth in sub-zero temperatures. Protective wind and cold snorkel membranes appear at the hood, alongside Polartec® High Loft Series Fleece, while silver-tone YKK Excella zippers line the front closure. Other details like twin storm pockets near the hem, nylon twill elbow panels, ripstop panels at the central closure and a small zip pouch at the left shoulder round up the piece.
The next piece is the Ballistic Vest constructed with a slightly tailored fit and a quilted inner lining. Coming with a raised collar, the top of the piece has been reinforced with a durable nylon twill that extends over the yoke. Like the aforementioned parka, the vest also comes with YKK Excella hardware and snap button storm flaps with weatherized taping. The upper chest sees two angular pockets, complemented by subtle welt side entry pockets at the hem and a hidden snap button fastening for extra storage. Both silhouettes have been padded with a unique down material sourced from a special factory in Hokkaido, Japan.
The HAVEN Artillery Parka and Ballistic Vest are currently available at HAVEN’s website for $1,209 and $718 USD, respectively.
