Juice Wrld’s devastating passing has echoed shock across the hip-hop and music communities. At just 21-years-old, the tragic event has continued to make the last few years some of the most calamitous years in memory for the scene. Now his record label, Interscope Geffen A&M Records, has released a statement to XXL in regards to the Chicago Rapper’s passing.
Juice made a profound impact on the world in such a short period of time. He was a gentle soul, whose creativity knew no bounds, an exceptional human being and artist who loved and cared for his fans above everything else. To lose someone so kind and so close to our hearts is devastating. Our thoughts are with Juice’s family and friends, everyone at his label Grade A, and his millions of fans around the world.
Early Sunday, December 8, Juice had suffered a seizure at Chicago’s Midway Airport following a flight from California. The rising superstar had just celebrated his 21st birthday last week on December 2 and was currently working on his forthcoming album, the follow-up to his riotous Death Race for Love project that graced audiences earlier this year. A cause of death is still pending.
Following the release of the project, Juice sat down with HYPEBEAST to discuss his eclectic approach to music.
