Nike Adapt Huarache Powers up in "Hyper Jade/Total Orange"
The high-tech silhouette’s boldest color scheme yet.

Nike‘s futuristic Adapt Huarache has now surfaced in its boldest makeup yet: a combo of “Hyper Jade” and “Total Orange.” The latest silhouette to feature self-lacing Adapt technology, the Adapt Huarache is designed for on-the-go urban dwellers with its combination of modern-day performance innovation and classic Huarache style.
Where the two past iterations to release — “Opti Yellow” and “White/Black” — kept things relatively simple with dual-color palettes, the “Hyper Jade/Total Orange” offers a bold mixture of tropical hues that’s almost Miami Dolphins-esque in nature. The base is constructed of a cool aqua blue fused mesh, with hits of sporty yellow appearing on the power lacing system’s casing and the slip-on throat. A darker royal blue graces the toe cap, heel clip and collar liner, while a vibrant punch of bright orange rounds things off on the heel.
The wave-cut white midsole with a translucent outsole and underlaid Swoosh hit may appear simple at first glance, but at its core is the engine that makes the signature Adapt tech work. A small motor embedded directly under the midfoot operates the high-tensile bands that reach up onto the throat, allowing the wearer to tighten or loosen their shoes as they see fit. This adjustment can be performed directly from an iPhone thanks to Nike’s Adapt app.
The app lets you do much more than just adjust the fit, however. When synced, you can also tighten or loosen the shoes using only your voice thanks to a set of five Siri commands. It’ll also set two fit profiles: one more snug for action, one more loose for casual wear. If you’ve got an Apple Watch, you can do the same fit customization right on its screen. Lastly, you’re also able to change the colors of the midfoot’s lights to a variety of different hues.
These high-tech Nike shoes will release via Nike SNKRS come November 16. The MSRP is set at $350 USD.
