It’s been a fall full of firsts for Li-Ning, as after the Chinese footwear brand teamed up with Rick Ross for its first-ever artist partnership, it’s now tapped atmos for an inaugural brand/retailer collaboration, consisting of two takes on the chunky Titan silhouette. Melding Li-Ning’s bold sensibilities with atmos’s keen eye for color and texture, the two-pack represents Japan and China in equal measures.

First up is a vivid red pair with an embellished silk base and gold accents. This regal embellishment provides a nod to traditional Chinese textiles, while gold accents add king-like flair. An extra set of navy laces cools down the temperature just enough with its bold contrast.

Where the red pair is almost entirely about China, the navy pair looks towards Japan for the lion’s share of its inspiration. The dark blue base is made of denim for a clear nod to Japan’s world-renowned selvage mills, with gum and brown accents providing a second tone. Yellow laces add a touch of brightness to complete the look.

Both shoes also feature atmos logos embroidered onto their tongue plus technical detailing like brass loop eyestays, a two-piece midsole, yet another set of curled laces on their heels and various accenting overlays. With the duo of lacing systems and the collegiate-style color schemes, they also offer slight shades of Virgil Abloh‘s forthcoming Off-White™ x Nike Dunks.

The designs are exclusive to atmos, and will release on November 9. The retail price is set at ¥18,000 JPY (approximately $165 USD).

This isn’t the only collection atmos has releasing on November 9: they also joined forces with Nike for a colorful “POP THE STREET” capsule.
