Ahead of the global rollout of Louis Vuitton‘s Virgil Abloh-directed technical clothing line, 2054, the French fashion house is offering fans a closer look at the range via a short-lived temporary residency. Part of a series of pop-up events that began around the time of Abloh’s tenure at Louis Vuitton, the 2054 range is highlighted within an unmissable portion of the brand’s Soho outpost in New York.
A camouflage rainbow Louis Vuitton Monogram pattern wraps the exterior of the storefront, a reflection of the 2054 collection’s heat map-inspired effect. Inside, the menswear line and accessories are on full display, highlighting the military and outdoors influences throughout. Key pieces include a padded overshirt that can transform into a pillow, parachute-style trousers with removable cargo pockets, nylon boots with a trail-inspired sneaker sole and the “Sleepall,” an adventurous twist on the classic Keepall that unfolds into a sleeping bag.
Visit Louis Vuitton’s Soho store in New York to behold the goods ahead of the official launch on December 6.
Recently Abloh also introduced the campaign for his Louis Vuitton Pre-Spring 2020 collection.
