Facebook Company Rebrands Itself as "FACEBOOK" Amidst Calls for Government-Led Breakup
Distinguishing Mark Zuckerberg’s parent company from the site and app.

After starting off a single app 15 years ago, in a blog post, Facebook has formally announced a rebranding to distinguish Mark Zuckerberg‘s parent company from the popular social networking site and app.
Reinventing itself under the capitalized form “FACEBOOK,” the rebranding serves as the parent company’s way of being clearer about its various products and services that have come to connect friends and family, find communities and grow businesses. Designed for clarity, custom typography and capitalization has been chosen to differentiate itself from Facebook which will keep its own branding.
In the coming weeks, FACEBOOK will be adding a “from FACEBOOK” endorsements to all of its main services which include Facebook app, Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp, Oculus, Workplace, Portal and Calibra to better communicate its ownership structure. The rebranding move comes as Mark Zuckerberg and his tech empire have been facing calls from politicians and consumer advocates for a government-led breakup that would fracture the FACEBOOK company.
