After months of rumors, Apple has now prepared its AirPods Pro for worldwide release. Building on its wireless headphone experience, the all-new design has been optimized to be a lightweight, in-ear headphone option engineered for comfort and fit.
For immersive sound quality, the Apple AirPods Pro comes with three different silicone ear tips that conform to the contours of ears and works with an innovative vent system that equalizes pressure for a superior seal. For active scenarios, the Pro model has also been designed to be sweat and water-resistant.
The Apple AirPods Pro utilizes Active Noise Cancellation which sees two microphones working in unison with advanced software to adapt the sound signal, removing background noise at 200 times per second. Adaptive EQ through a custom high dynamic range amplifier and low-distortion speaker driver builds on the listening experience providing consistent rich bass down to 20Hz and detailed mid- and high-frequency audio.
Continuing to innovate, the Apple AirPods Pro has been designed with a revolutionary system-in-package (SiP) that uses the Apple-designed H1 chip’s 10 audio cores for low audio processing latency, adaptive technology and control functions like Transparency mode. Transparency mode can be activated using the innovative playback force sensors on the stem to allow wearers to listen to music while being able to hear the environment around them ensuring speech sounds normal when in use.
Despite all of the features and upgrades, the Apple AirPods Pro features up to five hours of listening time, four and a half hours in Active Noise Cancellation mode and up to three and a half hours of talk time on a single charge. The Wireless Charging Case which can be charged using a Qi-certified charging mat or Lightning port helps deliver over 24 hours of listening time and 18 hours of talk time through additional charges.
Additional features on the audio option include the Ear Tip Fit Test which uses an advanced algorithm to determine if the right ear tip is being used for ears, voice-activated Siri, audio sharing and adaptive automatic message announcements.
Priced at $249 USD, the Apple AirPods Pro is now available for order from apple.com and in the Apple Store app with shipping starting October 30 when they officially release in-store.
