Disney+ Orders 'Becoming' Docuseries Produced by LeBron James
Focusing on the upbringing of some of the world’s most famous entertainers, musicians & athletes.

A new docuseries produced by NBA star LeBron James and his SpringHill Entertainment company is coming to Disney+. The streaming service has ordered 10 episodes of Becoming, a project that takes a closer look at the upbringing of some of the world’s most famous entertainers, musicians and athletes.
Created with ESPN Films, Spoke Studios and ITV America, each episode of the docuseries will visit a celebrity’s hometown. Shot in vérité, the show will guide audiences to important locations in the celebrity’s upbringing and will feature a supporting cast of family members, coaches, teachers, mentors and friends providing insights and anecdotes into the person’s “becoming” story.
Fellow NBA player Anthony Davis, WNBA champion Candace Parker, entertainer Nick Cannon and Stranger Things mainstay Caleb McLaughlin are just some of the celebrities included in the project.
The forthcoming docuseries is a spin-off of James’ Becoming pilot from 2014, and essentially focused on his life as a young boy from Akron to one of the best and most respected athletes in the history of the game.
