New Trailer for DC Universe's 'Harley Quinn' Animated Series Has Surfaced

DC Universe has shared a new trailer of its upcoming animated series Harley Quinn. The surprisingly violent and foul-mouthed trailer shows Harley living out her emancipation before the live-action Birds of Prey movie, as we see her breaking away from the Joker and becoming her own independent criminal. As she finds herself rather well living out the criminal life, Harley and her assorted gang of goons are looking to join the Legion of Doom to prove their merit as bad guys.
The series looks to be very adult in content, but also in its self-referential jokes. Bane even makes a Tom Hardy in The Dark Knight Rises impression in his vocal performance. The series stars The Big Bang Theory alum Kaley Cuoco as Harley Quinn, who says “This show is completely out of control. Harley Quinn is a blast of a character, and she’s nuts,” in a recent promotional video for the series.
“Kaley really embraced the idea of ‘I’m gonna just give the craziest performance I can, and then start to figure out exactly where it should live,’” executive producer Justin Halpern added. “This is a show that has supervillains and superheroes, so it needs to have awesome battles, crazy fights, and s–t exploding.”
