All-New 'Sonic the Hedgehog' Trailer Showcases the Redesigned Character
Set to arrive in 2020.
After leaked images of the redesigned character emerged last month, Paramount Pictures has now released an all-new trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog.
The clip begins with the character explaining how he came to earth, revealing that people were always after his powers on his own planet, meaning he had to move. The trailer also gives another look at Jim Carrey as Doctor Robotnik, and shows Sonic — voiced by Ben Schwartz — and Sheriff Tom Wachowski (James Marsden) as they try and escape. The film will focus on Sonic and Wachowski’s escape from Robotnik and the government as they run across the world, taking in landmarks from the Pyramids to the Great Wall of China.
Take a look at the updated trailer in the gallery above, and expect Sonic the Hedgehog to arrive in theaters from February 14, 2020.
