Timberland & Lee Stroll Through the Countryside in Collaborative Campaign
A nod to both label’s Western heritage.
Timberland and Lee have paid homage to their western heritage in a new collaborative capsule. Lensed amidst the vast golden valleys of remote countryside, the lookbook highlights a series of rugged staples that have been modernized with the latest materials and cuts yet nod to its cultural roots.
The lineup includes an assemblage of garments steeped in rich indigo dyes, heather grey cotton, plaid and warm orange highlights: workwear meets denim. It’s worth noting that many of the pieces in the range have incorporated the use of recycled linen to maintain eco-friendly standards, while other materials like organic cotton and thick denim offer a homespun feel. One noteworthy piece is the multi-paneled trucker jacket. The front of the jacket comes with slanted seams below the chest pockets, complemented by a central snap-button closure. Contrasting white piping is placed along the back of the arms as a finishing touch to the classic jacket. Another highlight is a roll-up backpack that’s been colored in rich indigo. Functional details like adjustable buckles and straps, front zip closure and mesh compartments at the exterior add a contemporary feel to an old fabric. Other pieces in the collection like the plain white tees, denim chore coats, water-repellent parka, plaid flannels and six-inch waterproof boots round up the collaborative assemblage.
Though release dates for the Timberland x Lee 2019 capsule has yet to be revealed, the six-inch waterproof boots from the range is currently available at timberland.co.uk for $270 USD.
