ASICS Drops Weatherized GEL-SNOWRIDE in "Black/Olive"
Built to combat bad weather.
ASICS is back, following up its Kengo Kuma collaboration with a “Black/Olive” iteration of the GEL-SNOWRIDE silhouette. This particular sneaker has been built with waterproof textiles to enhance the experience of running in the snow.
Coming in a mix of dark brown, olive, black and grey, the shoe features a bevy of weatherized materials like batted nylon, mesh and leather panels. Brown padding appears at the collars, complemented by rubber overlays at the heel stamped with ASICS’ logo. The top of the tongue features “ASICS” branding atop a protective water-repellent coating. Below it is cushioned laces and a toe box that comes with a ballistic texture. Contrasted against its grey mesh body, the body sees olive side stripes placed over black mudguards. All of these details sit atop a highly treaded articulated midsole, molded for extra traction against days with bad weather.
