BAPE Is Dropping a Big Sean Capsule
Along with a chance to meet the artist.
GRAMMY-nominated Big Sean is the latest artist tapped by revered streetwear giant BAPE for its forthcoming collaborative capsule.
Similar to the brand’s BAPE Heads Show merch (which included cartoon iterations of Kid Cudi, Wiz Khalifa, Pusha T and Lil Yachty), the items in the collection will feature Big Sean made over in the same animation style originally drawn by designer MANKEY standing alongside BAPE’s lovable sidekick Baby Milo.
As per the lookbook photos, the collaborative range will include graphics T-shirts and long-sleeved tees featuring various designs. Over on the T-shirts, BAPE’s 1ST CAMO print dresses one option along with a contrasting Ape Head insignia encircled by the duo’s newly created “A Bathing Don Life” slogan. The second graphic sees the ubiquitous Ape Head logo wearing Big Sean’s signature sunglasses, while the back is emblazoned with the quote, “Closet looking like Planet of the Bathing Apes.” Finally the last option sees Big Sean standing alongside Baby Milo. For the long-sleeved tee, the item features a 1ST CAMO print Ape Head encircled by “A Bathing Don Life” text.
Interested fans will be able to cop items from the Big Sean x BAPE capsule during a pre-sale event on Friday, November 15 located at BAPE’s Los Angeles outpost. The first 100 customers that make a purchase will then be able to attend a meet-and-greet with the artist. Otherwise fans will have to wait until Saturday, November 16 to pickup the items at select BAPE retailers worldwide.
