Nike Drops Air Max Tailwind IV SE in Creamy "Phantom/Desert Sand"
Iterating the ’90s classic.
Nike has returned with its latest Holiday release, following up its recent “Shibuya” Pack with the Air Max Tailwind IV in a creamy “Phantom/Desert Sand” colorway.
Tweaking the original ’90s silhouette, the sneakers come with updated mesh, leather, and rubber textiles for better wear while maintaining its overall retro feel. The top of the shoe comes in sleek black mesh, branded with “AIR MAX” at the top of the tongue. Cushioned laces are looped through blue and red eyelets over the forefoot. In contrast, “MAX AIR” and “MCMXCIX,” 1999, are emblazoned along the backstay. Peach-colored piping edges the upper collars and sidewalls, while the main body features a series of tonal webs. The rear quarter has been etched with a burnished Swoosh logo. All of these details sit atop a black midsole, which comes with blue and red tinted Air unit bubbles.
The Nike Air Max Tailwind IV SE “Phantom/Desert Sand” is currently available at atmos-tokyo.com for $155 USD.
Elsewhere, BEAMS and New Balance have teamed up for mismatched 990v5s.
