Westside Gunn Taps Conway the Machine & Benny the Butcher for Creeping Cut "Kool G"
Ahead of the release of Gunn’s ‘Hitler Wears Hermes 7.’

New York trio Griselda — made up of Westside Gunn, Conway the Machine, and Benny the Butcher — are recreating much of the golden era of NYC hip-hop, aptly updating the militant scope of the locale’s scene with intricate poetics and pounding boom bap instrumentals. Coming off of their recent “Dr. Bird’s” single, the first from their Shady Records album What Would Chine Gun Do, Westside Gunn has shared the lead single off his latest installment of his Hitler Wears Hermes series.
Entitled “Kool G,” the two-and-a-half-minute track enlists co-conspirators Conway the Machine and Benny the Butcher, maintaining the group’s in-your-face sixteens that have created an army-like cult following. The instrumental sees Alchemist coming on board with Griselda’s in-house producer Daringer, slinging out creepy boom bap flavor.
You can stream “Kool G” below. Westside Gunn’s Hitler Wears Hermes 7 arrives this Halloween on October 31.
