Coca-Cola Joins Starter Black Label for Collegiate-Inspired Capsule Collection
Featuring varsity jackets, tracksuits & more.
After teaming up with Acne Studios earlier this year for a range of denim layers, Starter Black Label returns with a football-focused and collegiate-inspired capsule collection in partnership with Coca-Cola. Featuring athletic silhouettes and retro aesthetics, the selection of apparel combines sports, style and pop culture.
Receiving a red and black makeover, Starter Black Label’s iconic satin jacket is updated to resemble a varsity jacket with striped detailing, football patches and “Coca-Cola University” branding. A wool version of this jacket is lined with a colorful football illustration from Coca-Cola’s archives, further highlighting the capsule’s collegiate detailing.
Another collection highlight includes a tracksuit, available in red and black colorways, with co-branded tape detailing found along the sleeves and down the pants. Crew neck sweatshirts, T-shirts, sweatpants and hats round out the collection, featuring embroidered Coca-Cola logos, a fuzzy “C” script and branded zipper pulls and buttons. Soft wool bucket hats finish off the looks.
Beginning November 1, the collaborative capsule collection will be available on Starter Black Label and Coca-Cola’s websites, Macys.com, and in-store at Walter’s, a specialty boutique located in Coca-Cola’s hometown of Atlanta.
