Starbucks Japan Unveils New Halloween-Themed Drink
Get ready for the “Dark Night Frappuccino.”

After releasing a whimsical collection of mugs, tumblers and accessories to celebrate Halloween, Starbucks Japan has revealed its third Halloween-themed beverage: the “Dark Night Frappuccino.” This new celebratory drink follows Starbucks’ launch of the “Halloween Red Night Frappuccino” and “Halloween Masquerade Raspberry Mocha.” To embody the spirit of a masquerade party, each drink comes with a small mask.
Like its Red Night counterpart, the new Frappuccino is blended with a white chocolate brownie and red berry sauce made with raspberries, cranberries and strawberries. A black cocoa powder is mixed throughout the entire beverage, giving it an eerie jet black appearance. The “Dark Night Frappuccino” released yesterday along with two Halloween-themed “cup stands.” These winged black and white creatures fit Starbucks’ tall-sized Frappuccinos.
The Halloween-themed drinks are available to purchase at Starbuck stores in Japan for ¥590 (approx. $5 USD) now until October 31. The cup stands are available as a set for ¥990 (approx. $9 USD) with the purchase of a Red Night or Dark Night Frappuccino.
