END. Brings Vibrant Hues to the New Balance 860 V2
The under-the-radar runner from NB’s archives is getting a moment in the collaborative spotlight.
After tapping Footpatrol to revive two original colorways of the 860 V2, New Balance is now turning to END. for a colorful collaborative iteration of the performance runner. Blending the 860 line’s high-tech tooling with a bold color scheme, the co-created design is a shoe that’s race-ready in material, but fully street-ready in style. By diverting from NB’s signature grey and blue palettes in favor of something more whimsical, it presents a striking look.
The two base hues used on the mesh upper are a stark black and a bold orange — the former of which appears on the heel/quarter, the latter on the toebox. Pops of pink and yellow are dispersed thorough the entirety of the top half, and a soft aqua blue is used for both the midfoot’s N logo and the sockliner. These colorful stylings have a specific purpose: they call attention to each individual piece of the 860 V2’s specialized design.
Down below, the midsole combines ABZORB foam with an N-ERGY gel setup in the heel for comfort and support, while also adding to the upper’s cornucopia of colors with similar orange, yellow, blue, and pink accents.
The END x New Balance 860 V2 will release on November 2. A raffle is open now via END.com, and concludes at 8 p.n. EST on November 1. The retail price is set at $109 USD.
